The Golf Club At Playacar
Recognized as one of the top courses in the world, Playacar Golf Course is
as challenging as it is beautiful. Renowned architect Robert Van Hagge designed
the 18-hole, par 72 course. Its inspired setting is carved through dense Mayan
jungle, awarding golfers with a competitive course surrounded by lush foliage
and aquamarine waters.
General Information
The Golf Club at Playacar offers the perfect combination of natural beauty
and the work of man. This magnificient golf course, carved out of the dense
Mayan Jungle is only a few hundred yards away from the crystal-clear, turquoise
ocean and the fine white sands of the Mexican Caribbean Sea.
The intelligent architectural design of the golf course has converted Playa del
Carmen into one of the most popular tourism destinations in all of Mexico.
The Golf Club at Playacar was inaugurated September 15th, 1994. This 7202 yards,
par 72, championship golf course was designed and built under the watchful eye
of renowned architect Robert Von Hagge. With a slope rating of 148 from the championship
tees, 136 from the white tees, and 134 from the red tees, it is as challenging
to play as it is beautiful to view.
The Club House is a traditional Mayan structure complete with a large palapa
covered banquet area. The club house also includes a fully stocked pro-shop,
men’s and women’s locker areas, and of course the famous 19th Hole.
Also included in the clubhouse is a large, secure storage with room for up to
300 golf bags, so that golfers can leave their bags at the course and not have
to worry about hauling them around all week.
For those golfers who choose to leave their clubs at home, we have over 100 sets
of rental clubs available for both men and women. The player may choose from
Callaway, Cobra, or Taylor Made rental sets, and are available in both steel
and graphite, and for both right handed as well as left handed golfers.
Before beginning your round, be sure to warm up at our world-class practice area.
Along with a driving range that will accommodate even the longest of hitters,
we have an excellent short-game area including a large putting green complete
with chipping and pitching areas as well as a green side sand bunker.
After your round, be sure to visit the 19th Hole, and enjoy one of our famous
hamburgers along with your favorite beverage. The 19th hole overlooks the 18th
green and is the perfect ending to a perfect day in golfing paradise!
All Inclusive Program
The Golf Club at Playacar is proud to be the first all-inclusive golf club
in Mexico. In keeping with the tradition of Palace Resorts, any food and/or
beverage consumed at the golf course by our guests is included in the green
fee. That includes items from our two beverage carts that are constantly making
the rounds on the golf course, as well as food and beverage in the 19th hole
after your round has finished.
The beverage carts are stocked with sandwiches, chips, water, soft drinks and
beer, and in the 19th Hole our grill menu includes sandwiches, hamburgers,
hot dogs, etc., as well as all of your favorite alcoholic and non-alcoholic
beverages.

which includes unlimited green fees, round trip transportation to and from
hotel, snacks and beverages at the course and a shared golf cart!

The Golf Club at Playacar Pro Shop is well stocked with quality, name brand
merchandise. Ashworth, Izod, Tommy Hilfiger, Titleist, Maxfli, Callaway,
EP Pro, Town Talk, and Imperial Headwear are just a few of the names that
a golfer will recognize. A professional staff is available
to assist with any needs that might arise, including club repair, l
essons, tournament preparations, and group outings.
Transportation
In our continued drive to provide excellence in both product and service,
Playacar Golf Club is proud to offer private round trip transportation* from
anywhere in the Cancun – Riviera Maya area for only $20.00 usd per person. Our
deluxe air-conditioned vans can seat up to 10 golfers and their clubs comfortably.
